Together Magazine - Music Review by Josh Banks
It’s Ernie Haase and Signature Sound which assures me of one thing, this is not going to be an album that follows the pattern of any other album recently released. In a classic EHSS way you are listening to and enjoying the album straight away. This album has one clear goal: to encourage, uplift, and delight listeners. ‘Clear Skies’ is a track which teaches us all to believe that Christ is faithful and no matter what trial you face, He will bring you through it. A strong opener leading into the rest of the album. ’You’ll Find Him There‘ and ’As for Me and My House‘ will become instant favourites for those who enjoy a country feel to their Christian music. One of my stand out tracks is ‘Give Me Jesus’, a new song based on a long-lost poem of famed hymn writer Fanny Crosby with lyrics of great depth: “Give me Jesus, there is no greater friend than He, for He gave His life to me”. For anyone who is going through trials or needs encouragement, this will be a great album. I feel it comes from a genuine and authentic place because just before the album was fi nalised, Ernie’s sister Tara lost her battle with cancer. It will lift the spirits of anyone in a similar situation, and it will also be a great album for any fans of EHSS and gospel music.
