Blessed Assurance CD

It feels like we have been ordering this album a lot in our shop as every time we re-stock it fl ies straight out of the door. One of Christian music’s most acclaimed male vocalists, Guy Penrod, has recorded some of the Church’s most cherished hymns. I think this is what makes it such a great seller. The songs will appeal to many customers if they liked his album Classics. This album includes many great hymns such as “There Is Power in the Blood”, a great strong vocal version, just as you would imagine it sung in the the Grand Ole Opry. One of my personal favourites is “Before the throne of God above”. However they are all great and well-treasured hymns sung very well with his booming tenor that expresses both sincerity and conviction. I feel this album will appeal to many customers. We have seen sales mainly to an older generation however there are younger people who are fi nding and enjoying these older hymns. Penrod’s voice is easy to listen to and means you can play it in the shop and then listen to customers singing along.
