Description
One of the most basic mandates for the Christian is to pray 'for kings and all who are in authority.' Now, perhaps more than ever before, we need to renew this commitment.
"If My people who are called by My name
will humble themselves, and pray and seek
My face, and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin and heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
Praying for the Government is based on this verse. If the Church meets these four conditions, then God will heal their land.
How can we bring healing? Through prayer! God intends His Church to exercise a decisive influence for good in the affairs of the nations.
Who are we to pray for? Our government! In Timothy 2:2 we have a mandate to pray "for kings and all who are in authority".
Now is the time for us to make a fresh commitment to prayer.
