"Here at The Good Book Company, we passionately believe that Christian books are a key way of fulfilling the biblical command to commend God's works to the next generation (Psalm 145:4-6). But recent research shows that with so many demands on time, and various new technologies available that can do story time, reading to children often gets squeezed out.
We want to help make story time a joyful discipling moment and an indispensable part of the day. So we’re running a special campaign called "Spark Wonder" that will encourage people to read Christian books to children. Books full of foundational truths that will spark wonder in children’s hearts and that will nurture a love of reading that will serve them for the rest of their lives, especially when they come to read the Bible for themselves."

Research has suggested that parents and carers are reading less to their children. The study claimed that the proportion of toddlers being read to every day has dropped by a fifth over five years. It found that while 69% of preschool children were read to daily in 2013, by 2017 that figure had dropped to just 51%.
