Description
Diddy Disciples is a worship and storytelling resource for pre-school children aged 0-6.
Diddy Disciples sessions follow the structure of a church service and may be used on a Sunday morning or at other times. Each session uses drama, repetition, songs, art and craft and Bible storytelling to help children worship together, learn about the Christian faith and develop as disciples.
It uses an open-ended 'Godly play' style approach.
Book 1 includes an introduction to Diddy Disciples and all the information needed to set it up in your own church, including advice on building your own sessions to suit your circumstances. Book 1 covers the church year from September to Christmas and includes the following units:
1 Jesus' wonderful love (6 weeks)
2 God the maker (6 weeks, to be used around Harvest time)
3 In November we remember (4 weeks)
4 Getting ready for baby Jesus (5 weeks to use in Advent-Christmas).
Songs for each session and photocopiable craft templates are also included. Book 2, including material for the rest of the church year.
