Description

Inspired by true events, PRICELESS is a powerful drama/thriller about James Stevens who was, at one time, a good man with a great life -- but that was then and this is now. After the tragic death of his wife and losing custody of his little girl, James is at the darkest crossroad of his life. Angry, desperate, and unable to hold down a steady job, he agrees to drive a box truck on a shady, one-time trip cross country for cash -- no questions asked. But when he discovers what he is delivering is actually who, he is compelled to save two beautiful and frightened sisters who are unaware of the danger that awaits them.  Can love, strength, and faith redefine his past and change the course of his future? This unlikely hero risks it all to save these women, confront the forces that oppose him and ultimately discover the life he was meant to live.  From the creative minds behind the two-time Grammy Award-winning band for KING & COUNTRY, PRICELESS stars Joel Smallbone (for KING & COUNTRY), Bianca Santos (THE DUFF), Amber Midthunder (“Longmire”) with Jim Parrack (SUICIDE SQUAD, “True Blood”) and David Koechner (ANCHORMAN, “The Goldbergs”). PRICELESS is the first film from the Smallbone Brothers. Ben Smallbone directs from the script by Chris Dowling & Tyler Poelle. The film was produced by Steve Barnett (300). David Smallbone and Luke Smallbone serve as executive producers, and Jacob “Cubbie” Fink is co-producer.

CLC World Review  (19.09.2018)

Human trafficking is an issue which is appearing a lot in the mainstream media and a problem that seems to be on the rise. In recent years, the number of human trafficking reports has steadily increased, according to research and data from the US National Human Trafficking Hotline. California reported 1,323 and Texas 670 in 2016. These numbers are staggering as these are only the number people that have been caught. This brings me to the movie Priceless . Inspired by true events, James Stevens loses his wife in a tragic accident as well as custody of his daughter. He goes from pillar to post unable to hold down a job until he agrees to do a “cash payment no questions asked” job: he must drive a truck cross country containing unknown cargo. James soon discovers that he isn’t transporting any normal cargo, he is driving two victims of human trafficking. Compelled to save these girls James risks all to make sure they never reach their intended destination. The main theme of the movie is showing that the past does not define our future. Priceless reminds us that we may take wrong turns in our lives at some point. And these stretches of life's lonesome highway can make us feel worthless and hopeless. But the film strongly states that in God's eyes, we are still valuable beyond measure and that He is always offering redemption, even for the worst and seemingly most lost among us.
