A prophecy was given to me saying God would prune our church in Oxford to make us more fruitful. Within a couple of weeks another 4 prophecies had come saying the same thing. Most of these prophecies came from people who could not have compared notes but they all said the same thing – pruning for fruitfulness. The pruning included an immediate drop in numbers which continued for nearly 4 years, but a deep internal pruning for the whole church was also taking place as God brought personal issues to the surface. This book tells the story of what happened and how we survived the storms, downsizing, trauma and criticism; as well as growing personally and the tools we found indispensable.
